Nice food. Little bit expensive than Yiga in Garden Grove. But quality of food is better here.

Cute restaurant. Great food. Large portions. My family and I ate everything so fast, I forgot to take pictures lol. We ordered the galbitang, Korean style tonkatsu, dolsot bibimbap, and the spicy cold noodles. For each entree, a small of beef bone broth was also included! Big wins!! This plenty of food for a party of four. I was most shocked at the size of the tonkatsu and the sauce was delicious. I'm a big fan of clean and rich tasting broth and the galbitang satisfied that craving and more. The waitress took time to explain how to eat everything too and was very nice. I would definitely come back if I'm in the area again :) The only downside is the parking, which can be bad if it's peak meal times.

I have been coming here for years. Best ox tail cartilage soup and galbitang in OC. Broth is creamy and delicious. Side dishes are freshly made . I come here whenever I crave Korean soups, especially in more chilly weather. Bibimbap is delicious as well. Services are better during week days. It's in a good location to get other desserts afterwards

Talk about the best bosom buddy in food form! Picture this: a platter arrives, loaded with thick slices of pork, heaps of cabbage, lettuce, carrots, cucumbers, and a generous mound of musaengchae sprinkled with colossal oyster chunks. It's practically a feast for two, with enough to spare! And oh, let's not forget the pork katsu - it's not just good; it's like biting into a cloud of flavor, crispy and light, giving your taste buds a playful dance. Now, about those sides? Legit. No room for those run-of-the-mill, boring sides here. It's all about the kimchi in every shape and flavor imaginable! Sure, the menu might seem like it's playing hard to get with your wallet, but trust me, it's a bargain once you see the sheer amount of food piled up. With just these two orders, you're set to satisfy a hungry crew of 3-4 perfectly. And let's give a round of applause to the servers - they're like foodie ninjas, stealthily sliding by, always ready to top up your sides with a smile. So, if you find yourself in Irvine with a hankering for some lip-smacking Korean cuisine, Yigah is where it's at! Your taste buds will thank you later.

Both Yigah locations used to be my go to Korean comfort spots but I had revisited the Irvine one today and food was still as good as I remembered. We got the galbitang and gamjatang today they were both great. Pricing had definitely gone up but the portions are big, I remember the katsu were huge, shareable portions or eat half and Togo half. Side dishes were delicious too. Stop thinking of Korean food as kbbq, give these comfort dishes a try!!

This is a great old-school feeling mom & pop shop. I ordered 3 different soups to-go, and each one felt like my mom spent 5 hours in the kitchen. It is a bit on the pricier end, but the portions are huge, and each dish is worth it. The wait for 3 different soups to be packaged was less than 15 minutes, and each came with the various sauces (salts, dipping sauce, etc.) and rice and sides. There was a LOT of free parking in the plaza (which is a huge plus for me, since I'm from Koreatown in LA). IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO GO TO BCD, I'd honestly recommend this place instead!! Especially if you have someone in your group who's not the biggest fan of soontofu - this place has so many more soup options!

If you're looking for comfort food, this is the place to go! This restaurant is located in Diamond Jamboree in Irvine. The interior is clean and in reading some of the other reviews, I can understand why some believe that service may be lacking. From our experience, service was good and responsive; however, staff composes of two overworked women. It takes time to get what you need but that's understandable because they are understaffed. On to food! We ordered the Ugeoji Galbi Tang and the Galbi Tang. The only diffferences I can tell from both is that the Ugeoji Tang includes a bean paste and lots and lots of vegetables. The broth was savory sip after sip. The Galbi Tang was very refreshing and soothing to the stomach. If you have a cold or feeling unwell, this is the to-go soup. Parking is okay during the day but because there's so many shops at Diamond Jamboree, it can be a challenge during the weekends so plan ahead!

They close earlier than most restaurants in the area so you have to make sure to go earlier in the evening to get seated as well. They usually have a wait after 6pm. The servings are big so make sure you bring your appetite! The restaurant is family friendly, however, they also serve soju and beer.
